Job Description:

The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial records and administrative tasks. This position requires a high level of precision, reliability, and proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial and administrative processes, supporting the management team, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:

    • Ensure accurate entry of pay runs into Xero for verification by management.

    • Perform daily reconciliations in Xero to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Process supplier invoices and purchase orders diligently.

    • Manage accounts payable by entering bills into Xero accurately.

    • Conduct cash flow forecasting to support financial planning.

    • Generate accounts receivable reports and follow up on the receivables process to ensure timely collections.

    • Reconcile payments in our project management software, AroFlo.

  • Administrative Support:

    • Conduct daily checks of staff timesheets for payroll accuracy.

    • Provide CRM support to enhance customer relationship management.

    • Perform various executive assistant tasks to support senior management.

    • Offer general admin support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance-oriented role.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
